Paragons don't suck, PVE players suck (and don't understand how to use Paragons).

I agree, Paragons are very useful in parties. I mean, they're really good support warriors! They help meelee guys, casters, healers... they help everyone. I like to have paragons in my party whenever I can.

The same for Rits, they are also very good supportive toons. People just misunderstand how to utilize them, and rely too heavily on the "standard" builds.

Way, way, way too many people ping paragon builds that have very low or zero spear mastery. Paragons aren't monks, they're ranged attackers with party support built in.

He was mean to say "save yourself". Y'know that kurzick skill, +100 armor for the rest of the party for 3-6 sec.

paragons are statistically the least played class. When released, they were overpowered, and quite useful. Repeated nerfs have rendered them "unneeded".

anet should have left them "overpowered" or "broken" so that they would be chosen as much as a primary profession for teams imo.

I believe the point of this thread is to show that paragons are just as useful as they always were. The majority of players are just so uneducated to realize that despite all the nerfs, they're still a powerful offensive and defensive character.

And of course, with the introduction of PvE only skills it only got more insane.

Lol?

TNTF and SY makes them easily the best in PvE. It was paragons that won the fight with Mallyx.

And gg, go do some pvp.

Defensive Anthem ftw.
Spear of Lightning ftw.
Anthem of Flame ftw.

I <3 paragons.

ToPK is doable with any profession and h&h. The focus ought to be on how fast one can do it. And I'm guessing this build doesn't get it done anywhere near as fast as the standard B/P build.

I posted a h&h build a while back that I used to finish ToPK with my para that was a variation of the B/P build and only took about 10-15 mins longer than a fast B/P human team.

With a 3rd para hero available soon you could try going P/R on all 3 and taking a pet and an MM. You should be able to roll stuff with GFTE! spam.

If you're going the slower route then you may as well take a build that can solo the darknesses at the end. Wipe everything around them, flag the hench away and solo the bastards so you get all the greens.

I do not approve of the Paragon nerfs. They are a shame on ANet's head!

Even so, my Paragon is among my top three most played characters, Ranger, Paragon, and Warrior ... probably in that order.
